The first practical dishwasher was created in 1859 by Josephine Cochrane.although a washing machine device was patented in 1850 by Joel Houghton.Her friends talked a lot about their new machines and soon, Mrs. Cochrane was getting orders for her dishwashing machine from restaurants and hotels in Illinois. She patented her design and went into production. She showed her invention at the 1873 World's Columbian Exhibition and won the highest. Her company later became what is now KitchenAid. Charles Babbage designed the Difference engine in 1851. The Difference Engine was an automatic mechanical calculator designed to do the job of the human 'computers'. it was a calculating machine that was many time faster then a human. Babbage wanted to replace the human comptuers due to the many errors made, his machine made none.

Charles Babbage (1792-1871) first conceived the idea of an advanced calculating machine to calculate and print mathematical tables in 1812. This machine was designed to evaluate any mathematical formula and have even higher powers of analysis than his original 'difference' engine. Only part of the machine was completed before Babbage's death in 1871.

Louis family name of napoleon rallied support, and after sweeping the elections he returned to the old order, purging republicans and returning the "vile multitude" (Thiers) to its former place.
